February 1 - 5 🚀 All grades will be back to in-person learning tomorrow. Students have been away from school for 10 days, which is recommended by the CDC and health department. We have a few that will remain at home in quarantine for a few more days but have no new exposures for our students who have been out. PreK 3’s parents...... Today is the last day of quarantine. We will see everyone at school tomorrow!! 😊

RMS parents.... 5th - 8th grade will remain home in distance learning this week. They will return on Monday, February 1st. We have a couple staff members who have tested positive or need to quarantine. There have not been any student cases associated with them. Out of added caution to our students and staff in that building and staffing issues, it is best for 5-8 grade to stay home, monitor their health and seek medical advice if needed. I would recommend that students remain home during this time in order to further protect them and others. Students will log into google classroom each day and complete their assignments given by core curriculum teachers. Students should complete their assignments each day. School will remain in-person learning for other grades that are open since there is not any spread in those grades. As always, we monitor our numbers on a daily basis, and will always keep you informed. If needed, we will not hesitate to quarantine any individuals or classes. If you have any questions, please call the office tomorrow at 918-696-7509. Of course, the basketball game on Thursday, will be cancelled.

January 25-29 Monday 🚀 5th - 8th Virtual Day. They received a message earlier. We want to take extra precautions and wait for some results of pending tests of some individuals. 📚 Virtual students meal pick up and homework exchange. RMS 5-8 grade parents..... I have received word that we have a few individuals in the 5-8 grade building who are waiting on test results. The health and safety of our students and staff is very important to us. Therefore, tomorrow all 5-8 grade students will stay home tomorrow for a virtual day. All students have their laptops at home. Teachers will post lessons online. Some will be scheduling zoom meetings during their class period. Students should log into google classroom and check their emails just like a regular school day. Each student will be responsible for turning in their assignments. Once we have results back in a few individuals, we will be better able to contact trace and quarantine if needed. The fact that we wear masks, along with so many other safety measures, will continue to keep individuals healthy. Again, our students and staff are important to us! Tuesday 🚀 Virtual students - meal pickup and homework exchange, 10:00-10:30 📚 5-8 Homework Help w/Mrs. Reynolds, 3:05-4:30 🏀 7/8 basketball at Cave Springs, 4:00. Fans will need to wear a mask and social distance. ‼️‼️‼️ 5-8 grade Virtual parents and students are encouraged to attend an informational workshop about assignments, correctly submitting assignments, and grades. Parents learn how to check your kids assignments and missing work. The workshop will be @ 6:00 PM in Mrs.Goldman’s room in the new gym. Attendees must wear a mask. ‼️‼️‼️ Wednesday/Thursday 🔹 No activities Friday 🎩 Hat Day - choose a hat from your house and wear it to school!

RMS 5/6 basketball teams will scrimmage Stilwell Middle School tomorrow (Friday) at 12:00 PM at Stilwell Middle School gym.

RMS Community..... Yesterday, Governor Stitt released new policy that would affect quarantine protocols for public schools. We have not seen any written guidance concerning this matter. RMS will not be implementing this policy. Rather, we will continue to follow quarantine protocols set forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and Adair County Health Department. We will continue our daily preventative measures with students and staff that we have had in place since July. The safety and well-being of our students, staff and community will remain a top priority. We appreciate our students, staff and parents support in following set guidelines in order to assure everyone’s safety.

RMS parents.... We received word this afternoon that a student has tested positive. Every parent of that class has been notified concerning whether or not their child needs to quarantine. If you did not receive a call from Mrs. Ketcher, your child is not in that class and has not been exposed.
