What happened in the beginning- middle- end of the story? What was your favorite part of the story? 😊Solve basic addition problems up to 10. Write the equation on a piece of paper and work problems by using items that you have in your home things such as ;blocks, Legos, beans, cards, etc...! RMS Families Due to inclement weather, Rocky Mountain School will have a Distance Learning Day, Wednesday, February 19th. Each grade level will receive their assignments through the school messaging system and the school app. Fifth through eighth grade can also log into Google Classroom. Parents, during these low temperatures, remember to open the cabinet doors under the sinks and leave the cold water dripping. 😊

He and his mom are so appreciative of the prayers. 🙏🏻 Logan Jackson (a former student) has been missing since early Saturday morning. Talk with your kids. They may have heard something. RMS 7th grade Reading - complete their book reports consisting of title, author summary, characters, plot, and setting. If they have forgotten their library book they may use a different book, if their book is an informational text they can adapt it over best they can. Geography - summarize a current event effecting Europe. I would like my 6th grade geography to summarize a current event which has a direct effect on North or South America. English - "When I stepped outside, the whole world smelled like…" Write a story that starts with that line.

RMS 5-8 Science Predict the amount of snow we will get in inches. Then measure the amount of snow we have at a certain time. But use something besides a ruler or tape measure to measure. (Example a shoe or a piece of paper.) Record the time and give a detailed description of how you measured and what unit of measurement you used. (Make up your own unit of measurement)

3.  Record the data of your day.  List each activity you do throughout the day and how long you spent doing it.   Example:  Fixing and eating my breakfast - coffee and a breakfast cookie 30 min                    Shower and getting dressed for the day - 1 hour or 60 min                    Grading papers - 2 hours                      Reading a book -  1 hour     etc  Make sure you enjoy some time in the snow!!!

2.  List each person in your house and how many shoes each individual owns.  Find the mean of those numbers.  (*remember to find the mean - add all the numbers and divide by how many you numbers that was added) Example:   Reynolds  15 pairs of shoes Husband 7 pairs of shoes Killian 3 pairs of shoes Add 15 + 7 + 3 then divide the answer by 3 because I have added three numbers together. 25 divided by 3 is 8 and 1/3  See next post

5th - 8th Math Choose one of the following 3 activities: 1.  Find 3 cylinder shape objects in your house and measure the height of each one.  List the item and the measurement next to it. RMS Families Due to the inclement weather forecast predicting a wintry mix and snow, school is cancelled for Tuesday, February 18th. Students will complete the distance learning lessons they brought home last week. We will continue to monitor the weather and road conditions for the remainder of the week to determine if any additional closures are necessary. Stay safe and warm.
